ADVANCED DRIVER ASSISTANCE SYSTEM (ADAS)-OVERVIEW
IEEE SB in association with ISTE and other professional chapters jointly organized a guest lecture in offline mode on the topic “ADVANCED DRIVER ASSISTANCE SYSTEM (ADAS)-OVERVIEW” on 11th June 2022 exclusively for Second and third years. Students of ECE participated in the session. Mr.Ravi Ramalingam, Senior Tech Lead, Valeo India Private Limited, Chennai was the resource person. Some of the topics like principle of ultrasonic sensor. Microcontrollers, accidents due to human errors, advances in driver safety systems, modern techniques to avoid accidents, advanced driver assisted systems for driver safety were discussed in the guest lecture.
AWARD FUNCTION
In view of recognizing the efforts of the faculty, ISTE Staff chapter has conducted for an “Award Function” for the Academic year 2019-2020 on 30.12.2020.

AUTOMOTIVE ELECTRONICS
IEEE SB in association with department of ECE, EEE , ISTE and other professional chapters jointly organized a guest lecture on the topic “AUTOMOTIVE ELECTRONICS” on 23rd April 2022 exclusively for second and third years. Students of ECE and EEE participated in the session. Dr.S.R.Padmanabhan, Expert I/Senior Manager I, Automative Capagemini Engineering, Coimbatore was the resource person. Topics like roles of Automotive Electronics in different domains were covered in the guest lecture.

6G BEYOND - NEXT GENERATION WIRELESS COMMUNICATION
IEEE SB in association with ISTE and other professional chapters jointly organized a guest lecture on the topic “6G BEYOND - NEXT GENERATION WIRELESS COMMUNICATION” on 28th April 2022 exclusively for second and third years. Students of ECE participated in the session. Dr.K.Prabhu, Assistant Professor/ECE, NIT Suratkal, Bangalore, Karnataka was the resource person. Topics like types of communication, requirements of communication, elements of communication, communication used in application of IoT and AI were covered in the guest lecture.

CSI DAY 2020 – STATE LEVEL PROJECT COMPETITION
R.Asma, A.Gayathiri and B.Pavithra of final year students of IFET College of Engineering, Villupuram won first prize in the event conducted by CSI at Chennai and have been rewarded with cash prize of Rs.5000 along with a gold medal and a trophy under the guidance of Dr.S.Matilda.
