For students who would like to study at an engineering college with an established reputation for high quality teaching and research, IFET of Engineering has a lot to offer. Seminar Hall

We are having five seminar hall facilities within our premises. Spacious and well-equipped, these spaces are ideal for hosting workshops, seminars and meetings. These need to be booked in advance. A spacious and fully AC equipped with 500 seating capacity is in the campus where all co-curricular activities are organized. The hall is being set up with 'state of the art' facilities. All the departments are also provided with sufficient number of seminar halls.

IFET Library

The Central Library was started in the year 1998 along with the establishment of the college and relocated to the new block named Dr.A.P.J.Abdul Kalam block in the year 2008. The library houses a rich collection of books as well as periodicals on various branches of engineering and technology. Apart from the central library, each department has a separate departmental library with books on specialized topics. The house keeping activities of the library is computerized using AutoLIB software which is connected to the campus wide network. It enables user community of library to access the OPAC in order to search the library resources. Open Access System is adopted in order to access the library to the maximum. Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC) is followed for classification and arrangement of books. For the benefit of students, library hour has been included in the regular time table. A distinct feature of the library - Digital Library has been developed for accessing the previous year university question papers, students' project reports and staff research publications in electronic form. The services of the students in the form of 'Earn While You Learn Scheme' are utilized for day-to-day maintenance activities.

INTERNET & WI-FI

The IFET campus is connected to the cloud using 100 Mbps leased line from Jio Communications . This facilitiy ensures the free internet access to the entire campus via LAN and Wi-Fi.

HOSTEL FACILITIES

Student accommodation at IFET Hostel is a “Home away from Home“. In our campus separate boys and girls hostel are available with propulsive facilities. IFET aims at providing all students with high quality, hygienic and safe accommodation to meet individual needs. All rooms are furnished with bed, cupboard etc.

CAFETERIA & STORES

Student accommodation at IFET Hostel is a “Home away from Home“. In our Facility is available for staff members and students separately. A wide variety of snacks and lunch items are available in the canteen. A quality assurance team consisting of faculty, staff and students of the institute examine the food quality and general hygiene on regular basis in the canteen. The College canteen also caters to the functions organized in the college auditorium & other related programs like seminars, conferences and workshops.

RO PLANT FOR DRINKING WATER

IFET College of Engineering has reverse osmosis plant to purify water. Reverse Osmosis is a process in which dissolved inorganic solids (such as salts) are removed from water. This is accomplished by household water pressure pushing the water through a semi permeable membrane. The membrane allows only the water to pass through, not the impurities or contaminates. These impurities and contaminates are flushed down the drain. It produces high-quality dematerialized water. It uses most modern membrane technology.

Dispensary

The Health Centre here at IFET College of Engineering is well equipped. It has separate inpatient facility for male and female students The health centre provides quality health care in a comfortable and confidential environment. The health centre is manned by a medical officer and a healthcare assistant to provide excellent medical care to all the students. In the future we look forward in expanding and bringing in high tech medical equipments to serve better the students of our college.

TRANSPORT FACILITIES

The Prime Location of the Institution in the Pondicherry-Villupuram National Highway (NH45A) has been made accessible. Although situated just few Kilo Meters from Villupuram and Pondicherry, there is round the clock local transport facility. Besides, our college provides 30 buses from various cities.

Also, bus facilities (Govt. and Private) and Auto Facilities are available to our College campus at frequent intervals throughout the day.
