The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering has been established in the year 1998 with an intake of 40 students and increased to 240 in the year 2012. It is bestowed with an experienced team of faculty members with excellent academic records and proficiency. Excellent infrastructure, state-of-the-art computer centre with the latest advances in technology and comprehensive study material make the department a class apart. The extensive use of technologies like LCD and OHP in the classes makes teaching interactive, providing a conductive atmosphere to the students.
Technical seminars, guest-lectures, project expo, personality development programmes, aptitude tests, group discussions, in-plant training and industrial visits are organized regularly.It is committed to impart quality education in the sub-fields of Electronics and Communication, a field growing in leaps and bounds. To keep in touch with the ever growing technology, the faculty members enrich themselves regularly through refresher courses and conference conducted by various universities and research institutions.

Program Educational Objectives

PEO1 Our graduates will have the ability to adapt to modern technologies and technical skills in the field of communication and apply their knowledge to solve global problems.
PEO2 Our graduates will be prepared for continual professional development for pursuing higher studies and successfully engaging in careers in Electronics and Communication and allied fields.
PEO3Our graduates will have high degree of standards while executing multidisciplinary engineering projects with skills like professional attitude, teamwork, leadership, ethics and communication.

POs describe what students are expected to know or be able to do by the time of graduation from the program. At the time of their graduation, the B.E. Electronics and Communication Engineering students will have the following abilities.
Program Outcomes of Electronics and Communication Engineering
 a  Apply knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals and an engineering specialization to the conceptualization of engineering models
 b   Identify, formulate, research literature and solve complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics and engineering sciences.
 c   Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design systems, components or processes that meet specified needs with the appropriate considerations for public health and safety, cultural, societal and environmental considerations
 d   Conduct investigations of complex problems including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, synthesis of information to provide valid conclusions.
 e   Create, select and apply appropriate techniques, resources, skills and modern engineering tools, including prediction and modeling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of limitations
 f   Function effectively as an individual, and as a member or leader in diverse teams and in multidisciplinary settings
 g   Communicate effectively on complex engineering activities with engineering community and society at large, such as being able to comprehend, write effective reports, design documentation and make effective presentations and receive clear instructions
 h   Demonstrate understanding of the societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to engineering practice
 i   Understand and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities and the norms of engineering practice.

Communication Engineers Association


The Electronics Professional's Association is Self-Financed activity for the students of Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering to promote themselves to compete with global levels by conducting Seminars, Project Expo, Guest Lectures and National Level Technical Symposiums in every semester and also various competitions like creative art, e-courage, cross word thinking and adds-up to enrich their knowledge and make them industry ready students. The Association of "COMMUNICATION ENGINEERS" was created for awakening the talents and also for promoting innovative projects.
