About Department


The Department of "Computer Science & Engineering" was established in the year 2001 with a BE program. Since its inception, the department has progressed with a vision and strong commitment in developing uncompromising standard for excellence,providing the state of art computing facilities and training to students. The department has well equipped computing laboratories and a rich repository of software covering a wide spectrum of applications.Efforts are taken to make the student industry -ready even before he leaves the campus. Research and Development initiatives are taken to encourage innovation and develop projects which would beneift the society & the country on the whole.

Program Educational Objectives

PEO1 The graduates will have an exposure to emerging cutting edge technologies, life long learning, adequate training and opportunities to work as teams on multi-disciplinary projects with effective communication skills, individual, supportive and leadership qualities.
PEO2 The graduates will be able to apply basic and contemporary science, engineering, experimentation skills to identify software/hardware problems in the industry and academia and be able to design, develop and provide practical solutions to them.
PEO3The graduates will be able to establish an understanding of professionalism, ethics, public policy and aesthetics that allows them to become good professional Engineers.

Program Outcomes

POs describe what students are expected to know or be able to do by the time of graduation from the program. At the time of their graduation, the B.E. Computer Science and Engineering students will have the following abilities.
Program Outcomes of Computer Science and Engineering
 a  Apply knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals and computer science engineering specialization to the conceptualization of engineering models.
 b   Identify, formulate, research literature and solve complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics and computer science engineering.
 c   Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design systems, components or processes that meet specified needs with appropriate consideration for public health and safety, cultural, societal, and environmental considerations
 d   Conduct investigations of complex problems including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of information to provide valid conclusions.
 e   Create, select and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering tools, including prediction and modeling, to complex engineering activities, with an understanding of the limitations.
 f   Function effectively as an individual, and as member or leader in diverse teams, and in multidisciplinary settings.
 g   Communicate effectively on complex engineering activities with the engineering community and with the society at large, such as, being able to comprehend and write effective reports and design documentation, make effective presentations, and give and receive clear instructions
 h   Demonstrate understanding of the societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to engineering practice.
 i  ` Understand and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities and norms of engineering practice.
 j   Understand the impact of engineering solutions in a societal context and demonstrate knowledge of and need for sustainable development.
 k   Demonstrate a knowledge and understanding of management and business practices, such as risk and change management, and understand their limitations.
 l   Recognize the need for, and have the preparation and ability to engage in independent and life-long learning in the broadest context of technologies.

Software Engineer's Associaton

The Computer Professional's Association is Self-Financed activity for the students of Department of Computer Science & Engineering to promote themselves by conducting Seminars, Project Expo,Guest Lectures and National Level Technical Symposiums every semester and also various competitions. The Association of "COMPASS" was created to surf the knowledge of the students and to make them well-trained engineers and qualified pillars of our country.
